4th Annual Pioneer Day - 2012
Featured were pirogue builders, quilters inside Old City Hall, chair caning, jambalaya, and the Blue Grass Band. New additions this year were the 1906 Fairbanks engine which was used in Monroe, La. to lift railroad bridges, Home Depot Children's workshop and the Bee observation deck where you can actually see the bees at work inside a glass deck. In the past we've had the gristmill & John Deere ice cream machine, Desserts First, by Jim Window was a big hit also.
